Basketball Recap: Huntingdon Comes Up Short

Huntingdon lost against Bishop Guilfoyle back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Huntingdon Bearcats were beaten by the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders 78-51. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Marauders are ranked 38th).

Huntingdon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntingdon will challenge Bellwood-Antis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Huntingdon is facing Bellwood-Antis at the right time seeing as Bellwood-Antis is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will take on Philipsburg-Osceola at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
