Laurence Manning Academy came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the John Paul II Golden Warrriors with a sharp 9-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-5 back in March.

Laurence Manning Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for John Paul II, they moved to 12-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurence Manning Academy will take on Providence Athletic Club at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
