Lake Marion suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: Lake Marion Gators vs. Timberland Wolves
The Lake Marion Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 40-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Timberland. Lake Marion was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Timberland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 9th.
Several Gators players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Patrick Guest, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Lake Marion's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Timberland, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Marion won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Calhoun County at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Kerron Scott and Mason Miles. As for Timberland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop England at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop England will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
