Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles vs. Brighton Charter Tigers
The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Brighton Charter 58-20 at home. With Arrowhead Christian Academy ahead 32-11 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arrowhead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Benny Rubio, who scored 12 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rubio has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian DeLaCruz, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Arrowhead Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-4. As for Brighton Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy will face off against the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Sonoran Science Academy: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while the Eagles have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for Brighton Charter, they will challenge the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
