Softball Game Preview: Howell Rebels vs. Matawan Regional Husky

The Howell Rebels are taking a road trip to take on the Matawan Regional Husky at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Howell is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Raritan just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 9-6 to the Rockets.

Meanwhile, Matawan Regional suffered their biggest loss since March 31st on Tuesday. They came up short against Holmdel, falling 13-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Husky in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Elyssa Jamandron made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Howell's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Matawan Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
