Basketball Recap: Enderlin Falls Despite Big Games from Jake Cimbura and Karson Gruba

Enderlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-26 back in January.

Enderlin's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Karson Gruba, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points and seven boards, and Jake Cimbura, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gruba a new career-high in rebounds.

Even though they lost, Enderlin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Enderlin's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enderlin will face off against Oakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Enderlin likes a good challenge. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood has already played their next match (against Sargent County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
