Softball Recap: South Eugene Takes a Loss

South Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Willamette Wolverines, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 back in March.

South Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Willamette, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Eugene will venture away from home to face off against South Medford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Axe's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Willamette, they are taking a road trip to challenge Grants Pass at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
