Softball Recap: Bellevue Comes Up Short

After flying high against Robertson County last Saturday, Bellevue came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Villa Madonna Vikings on Thursday, falling 16-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss back in March.

Madalyn Kincaid was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Olivia Hatch was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Villa Madonna, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Bellevue will square off against Dayton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Villa Madonna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
