Baseball Recap: Slater Comes Up Short

Slater and Higbee pushed the score to 18-2 the last time they played Higbee, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Wildcats fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Slater's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Higbee, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to a 1-1 tie later that day.
