Softball Recap: Mechanicsburg Takes a Loss

Mechanicsburg fell victim to Cumberland Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Mechanicsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Cumberland Valley, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will head out to challenge Manheim Township at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Streaks have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Cumberland Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hazleton Area at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
