Softball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Comes Up Short

Morristown-Hamblen East was the 8-3 winner over David Crockett when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the David Crockett Pioneers on Friday.

Morristown-Hamblen East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Hamilton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Morristown-Hamblen East dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for David Crockett, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morristown-Hamblen East and Morristown-Hamblen West will meet in a classic East v. West matchup at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for David Crockett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tennessee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
