Softball Recap: Apex Takes a Loss

Apex and Garner squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Apex had to settle for second. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Leah Kendall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs.

Apex's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Garner, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Apex does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garner, they have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Cleveland on the 16th.
