Baseball Recap: Lutheran Warriors vs. Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit Jaguars
Lutheran took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They never let the Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit Jaguars get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.
Bobby Haworth was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Haworth was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Josh Baltz was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Joey Hollyer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
