Soccer Recap: Boone Takes a Loss

After flying high against Webster City last Tuesday, Boone came back down to earth. The Toreadors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton Cardinals on Friday. If Boone were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Newton when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Boone's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Newton, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, Boone will square off against Greene County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boone are facing Greene County at the right time seeing as Greene County are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Newton, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Ogden on the 4th.
