Basketball Recap: Othello Takes a Loss

Othello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 62-37 to the Toppenish Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-43 back in December of 2024.

Othello's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Toppenish, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Othello will welcome Wenatchee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Othello is facing Wenatchee at the right time seeing as Wenatchee is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Toppenish, they will host Ellensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellensburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Toppenish likes a good challenge.
