Baseball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 30-1 to the Etna Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Friday.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Etna, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trinity is set to square off against their familiar foe Modoc at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Etna will challenge rival Weed at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Lions' favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Cougars have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
