Soccer Game Preview: Naples vs. Palmetto Ridge

The Naples Golden Eagles will challenge the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Naples took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Immokalee a 12-0 shutout. Sofia Cuellar-Gutierrez was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Palmetto Ridge's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Golden Gate. The win continues a trend for Palmetto Ridge in their matchups with Golden Gate: they've now won four in a row.

The victory got Naples back to even at 2-2. As for Palmetto Ridge, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Naples took their victory against Palmetto Ridge when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 6-1 score. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
