Preview: Lovejoy Leopards vs. Sherman Bearcats
Lovejoy is 8-2 against Sherman since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lovejoy Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Sherman Bearcats at 5:45 p.m. Hopefully Lovejoy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sherman in Texas (Lovejoy is ranked 131st, while Sherman is ranked 885th).
Lovejoy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Greenville at home to the tune of 82-12. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-8.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-23, which was the final score in Sherman's tilt against McKinney North on Friday. Sherman has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lovejoy's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Sherman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Lovejoy barely slipped by Sherman when the teams last played back in January, winning 46-45. Will Lovejoy repeat their success, or does Sherman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
