Basketball Game Preview: Hardin Hornets vs. East Chambers Buccaneers

Hardin hasn't had much luck against East Chambers recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hardin Hornets will square off against the East Chambers Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Hardin took a blow against Buna, falling 69-24. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, East Chambers was able to grind out a solid win over Orangefield on Friday, taking the game 70-59. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

East Chambers is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Hardin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Hardin was taken down by East Chambers 74-22 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hardin was down 35-12.
