West Potomac is 7-2 against Fairfax since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the Lions at 6:30 p.m. West Potomac has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Potomac managed to slip by Alexandria City the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wolverines came up short against the Titans on Tuesday, falling 15-5. Wolverines fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Titans since on Tuesday.

West Potomac saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Kay, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Stella Weeks was another, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Fairfax didn't have quite enough to beat Robinson on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Katelyn Huang made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Fairfax has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for West Potomac, their record now sits at 5-8.

Fairfax's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Potomac hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. It's a different story for Fairfax, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain West Potomac's hitters?

West Potomac came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairfax when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
