Basketball Recap: Jensen Beach's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against DME Academy Gold last Tuesday, Jensen Beach came back down to earth. The Falcons fell 56-51 to the Treasure Coast Titans on Tuesday. The Falcons were up 31-15 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the loss, Jensen Beach still got an impressive performance from Charles Alexander, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 18 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Alexander now owns an excellent 47.2% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavareon Newson, who went 5-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Nate Collins was nothing short of spectacular for Treasure Coast: he shot 75% from the field to rack up 26 points. The last time Collins' field goal percentage was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Dunkley, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jensen Beach fell to 4-1. As for Treasure Coast, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jensen Beach will venture away from home to square off against Okeechobee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Treasure Coast, they will head out to face off against Martin County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
