Baseball Recap: Clark County Indians vs. Illini West Chargers

After flying high against Brookfield last Monday, Clark County came back down to earth. The Clark County Indians fell 5-1 to the Illini West Chargers on Thursday. Clark County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Illini West apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

For Illini West's part, Wesley Robertson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched. Robertson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Robertson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two RBI and a double.
