Basketball Recap: Daphne Falls Despite Big Games from Victoria Moten and Abagail Johnson

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Daphne couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 57-41 bruising from the Hillcrest Patriots on Thursday.

Daphne's loss came despite strong showings from Abagail Johnson and Victoria Moten. Johnson posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Moten scored six points and three steals. That was a full 41.5% of Daphne's points, marking the third time in a row Johnson has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Daphne's defeat dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Hillcrest, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 33-2.

As of now, neither Daphne nor Hillcrest have any future games scheduled.
