Softball Recap: Greeneview Comes Up Short

Greeneview was the 11-7 winner over Cedarville when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams came up short against the Indians on Tuesday, falling 11-3.

Mya Simpson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaycie Christian, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Greeneview has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Cedarville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greeneview will welcome Triad at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Cedarville, they will host Fairbanks at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
