Basketball Recap: East Marion Takes a Loss

East Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the North Forrest Eagles and fell 47-14. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against East Marion this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-10 back in November.

Caubrei Andrews was East Marion's leading scorer, having posted six points. Natalee Dillon held things down on the boards with 16 rebounds. Charlie Smith took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

East Marion's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for North Forrest, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Marion will welcome Enterprise at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for North Forrest, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Richton at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
