Basketball Recap: Voyager Academy Comes Up Short

Voyager Academy lost against NCSSM: Durham back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vikings were outmatched by the Unicorns and fell 63-9. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-6.

NCSSM: Durham got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Katherine Sproul out in front who posted 16 points and eight steals. Sproul is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Violet Bradshaw, who scored 16 points and four steals.

Voyager Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for NCSSM: Durham, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Voyager Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Research Triangle Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for NCSSM: Durham, they have already played their next game, a 64-36 win against Reidsville on the 19th.
