Avalon extended the longest winning streak in Coastal (8 Man) this week by beating Hope Centre, 36-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Lancers.
Liberty Christian and Price played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Liberty Christian eventually emerging with a 48-44 victory.
Avalon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jose Cervantes has thrown for 241 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Juan Carlos Murillo has eight catches for 143 yards. Cervantes also leads the league in rushing with 711 yards.
A big matchup in Coastal (8 Man) this week will be when the Minutemen take on Avalon. As it stands, Liberty Christian is in third, while Earl Schrader's team is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Josh Pryor's team and the Lancers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Minutemen comes in having scored six this season, while Avalon has scored 384. Liberty Christian scored 48 points last week as it topped the Knights.
The Minutemen led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Price.
