Soccer Game Preview: Interlake vs. Hazen

The Interlake Saints will venture away from home to face off against the Hazen Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Interlake gave up the first goal on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 4-2 win over Juanita. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Hazen strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let Liberty get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Considering Hazen have won five contests by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hazen's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Interlake, their win bumped their record up to 3-8-1.

Interlake might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Hazen when the teams last played back in March. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
