Baseball Recap: Boone Comes Up Short

Boone suffered their closest defeat since May 28th on Monday. They fell just short of the Carlisle Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The Toreadors haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Boone's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Carlisle, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While Boone had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
