Recap: Marine City Mariners vs. Armada Tigers
The Marine City Mariners lost to the Armada Tigers back in January of 2022, but the Marine City Mariners didn't allow the Armada Tigers the same satisfaction on Monday. Marine City came out on top against Armada by a score of 52-39.
Leading Marine City to victory were Liam Adams and Danny VandeVyer. Adams scored 7 points along with 13 rebounds and 7 assists, while VandeVyer scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. VandeVyer is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Colin Gabler, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Marine City's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Armada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marine City will challenge Clintondale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Armada, they will head out on the road to face off against Imlay City at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th.
