Softball Recap: Brewbaker Tech Takes a Loss

Brewbaker Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-3 to the Saint James Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Brewbaker Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Heleyna Pennic, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Pennic has posted since back in April of 2024.

Brewbaker Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Saint James, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Brewbaker Tech will head out to square off against Pike Road at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint James, they will take on Brantley in a tournament on Friday.
