While East Lincoln put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Foard. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 1-0. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Taniyah Thomas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

East Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Foard, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

East Lincoln has already played their next match, an 11-2 defeat against Lake Norman on the 26th. As for Foard, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against the Mustangs on the 28th.
