Game recap: Leftwich's four passing touchdowns lead North Allegheny past Butler

North Allegheny (Wexford, Pa.) defeated Butler (Pa.) 49-0 while riding the arm of Mack Leftwich, who tossed four touchdown passes.

After taking the lead on a Leftwich touchdown pass to Eric Sprys in the first quarter, the Tigers led 42-0 at the half.

North Allegheny expanded its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. NA scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by Josh Bergman.

The Wexford school put up 28 points in the second quarter en route to the win. The Tigers scored on a Leftwich touchdown pass to Alex DiCiantis, a touchdown run by Sean Idowu, a defensive touchdown and a touchdown pass by Leftwich to Gregg Garrity in the quarter.



A 49-7 North Allegheny victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.

In a non-conference game next week North Allegheny (5-0) takes on Gateway, and Butler (2-3) will go up against Upper St. Clair also in a non-conference game.
