Lynchburg-Clay is 8-2 against West Union since December of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will head out to square off against the West Union Dragons at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Lynchburg-Clay is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Hillsboro just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Meanwhile, West Union hadn't done well against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West Union blew past Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington 82-62. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

West Union's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 5-11. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Lynchburg-Clay beat West Union 59-51 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lynchburg-Clay since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
