Football Recap: Aubrey Gets the Win

While Aubrey's win against Lake Dallas wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chaparrals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 14-11 victory over the Falcons on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chaparrals have posted since November 22, 2024.

Despite the loss, Lake Dallas still got an impressive performance from Ben Allen, who threw for 120 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 40 yards.

The victory made it two in a row for Aubrey and bumps their season record up to 3-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.5 points over those games. As for Lake Dallas, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Aubrey will take on Panther Creek at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st. The Chaparrals will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Lake Dallas, they will challenge Sulphur Springs at 7:30 p.m. on the 31st.
