Foothill and Livermore are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Falcons will host the Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Foothill's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Livermore has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Foothill is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against San Ramon Valley on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 3-2.

Kaycie Burdick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Livermore didn't have quite enough to beat California on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Reese Boswell was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Livermore saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laine Macosky, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Eliza Gerochi also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 11-5-1. As for Livermore, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Foothill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Livermore struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
