Owosso strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates a 4-0 shutout.

Jackson Sydow tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Owosso saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Patrick, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Patrick is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season.

Owosso's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Owosso has already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Marshall on the 12th. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, they will take on Perry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Pirates their first taste of in-conference action this season.
