Soccer Game Preview: Lake Wales vs. Victory Christian Academy

The Lake Wales Highlanders will take on the Victory Christian Academy Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Wales is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Winter Haven on Wednesday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Lake Wales' goal came courtesy of Aryn Rogers, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy entered their tilt with Santa Fe Catholic on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Hawks a 2-0 shutout. The Storm's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Victory Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those nine games. With that draw, Lake Wales' record moves to 4-5-1.
