Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 57-40 bruising from the Bowie Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 701st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 229th).

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Bowie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-14.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Lake Travis the next time they take the court. Austin will head out to face Lake Travis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Bowie will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
