Preview: Ben Davis Giants vs. Carmel Greyhounds

Ben Davis is 2-8 against Carmel since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ben Davis Giants will be playing in front of their home fans against the Carmel Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. Ben Davis will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Ben Davis proved on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-48 win over Decatur Central. Given Ben Davis' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Decatur Central is ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in K.J. Windham and Kc Berry. Windham had a great game and scored 21 points along with two steals. Meanwhile, Berry did his best for the losing side, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Carmel proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 30) but on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Brownsburg 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Carmel has posted yet this season.
Ben Davis is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Carmel, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9.
Ben Davis barely slipped by Carmel when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 46-45. Does Ben Davis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Carmel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
