Cheyenne put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Del Sol Dragons with a sharp 18-3 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-1 last Tuesday.

Raider Campos was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Cheyenne let Tapa Gamoras and Esai Esparza run wild. Gamoras scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Esparza scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, Esparza posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Taven Thaker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Cheyenne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Sol only posted an OBP of .381.

Cheyenne pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Del Sol, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Cheyenne will welcome Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Pinecrest Academy Cadence has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19 runs per game on average), something Cheyenne will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Del Sol, they are taking a road trip to face off against Liberty Baptist Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
