Softball Game Preview: Compton Tarbabes vs. Woodrow Wilson Bruins

Compton hasn't had much luck against Woodrow Wilson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tarbabes will face off against the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. Compton has given up an average of 18.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millikan. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bruins' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Alexsa Barrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
