Baseball Recap: Appalachian's Loss Ends 15-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Appalachian was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Appalachian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Harvey, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. Harvey is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Appalachian's defeat ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Appalachian will host Cleveland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, they are taking a road trip to take on Fultondale at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
