Basketball Recap: Peyton Kelleher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cromwell over Haddam-Killingworth

Cromwell lost against Haddam-Killingworth back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cromwell Panthers fell 54-46 to the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peyton Kelleher, who posted 15 points and five boards. Kelleher's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Sadie Rau was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cromwell has already played their next match (against Morgan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Haddam-Killingworth has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against East Hampton.
