Basketball Recap: Cerro Gordo/Bement's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Cerro Gordo/Bement came into Monday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past the Blue Ridge Knights with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 51-35. The Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Cerro Gordo/Bement's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Blue Ridge, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Cerro Gordo/Bement will challenge Villa Grove at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cerro Gordo/Bement is facing Villa Grove at the right time seeing as Villa Grove is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Blue Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
