Softball Recap: Elwood Triumphs

Elwood's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Monroe Central Golden Bears by a score of 11-6. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kelsey Armes was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Addison Stout was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Elwood's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Monroe Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Elwood will host Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monroe Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
