Basketball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-31 loss at the hands of the Quinter Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 61-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Quinter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shea S salyers out in front who went 9 for 14 to rack up 20 points and seven boards. Caedmon Bridges was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Quinter, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will welcome Brewster on Tuesday. As for Quinter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wheatland-Grinnell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
