Game recap: Edison High School Football Team wins against Foothill

SANTA ANA, Calif. -
Edison (Huntington Beach, Calif.) grabbed the lead when
Donald Rice ran for a touchdown with 2:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Foothill (Santa Ana, Calif.) 22-16 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured three lead swaps.
The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at seven. The Chargers took the lead for good on a Rice touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Sean Pihl made a difference for the Knights. The senior wide receiver kicked three field goals and one extra point. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
Edison's standout player in the win was Rice. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Foothill's lone touchdown came on a 16-yard pass from
Jack Gilchrist to
Jarrell Moss in the first quarter.
EHS went into the matchup giving up only 5.3 points per game. The 16 points that FHS ended with were well below its average of 35.0 coming into the game.
