Basketball Game Preview: Forestview Jaguars vs. Kings Mountain Mountaineers

Forestview is 0-10 against Kings Mountain since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Forestview Jaguars will be playing at home against the Kings Mountain Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Forestview lost to Ashbrook on the road by a 65-48 margin. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Greenwave are ranked 38th).

Meanwhile, Kings Mountain strolled past North Gaston with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 62-46.

Kings Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Forestview, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

Forestview came up short against Kings Mountain when the teams last played back in January, falling 65-61. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kings Mountain's Kee'Donn Linney, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. Now that Forestview knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
