Baseball Game Preview: Sheldon Irish vs. Gilbert Christian Knights

The Sheldon Irish will venture away from home to face off against the Gilbert Christian Knights at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Sheldon can't be to happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thurston.

Meanwhile, Gilbert Christian made easy work of Centaurus on Monday and carried off a 13-2 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 11 runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Dane Coyle, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Micky Moran, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Gilbert Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
